Victor Jestin, winner of the 2023 Books & Music Prize
The jury of the Prix Livres & Musiques - Deauville, chaired by Jérôme Garcin, unanimously awarded its 2023 prize to Victor Jestin, for L'homme qui danse, published by Flammarions.
Victor Jestin's second novel, The Dancing Man joins the list of winners of the Deauville Book & Music Prize previously awarded to: Jean Echenoz (2006), Valentine Goby (2008) Colette Fellous (2010), Virginie Despentes (2016), Pascal Quignard (2018).
This literary prize endowed by the city of Deauville, rewards since 2004, a writer inspired by music.
It will be awarded Saturday, May 6 at 6 pm at the FranciscainesOn this occasion, the jury pays tribute to Francois Bott and Paul Giannoli, founding jurors of the prize and Vanessa Schneider leads a conversation with Victor Jestin, before the reading of an excerpt from the book by Anne-Marie Philipe.
