A day to open up the field of possibilities

Immersion with Vanessa at the heart of an inclusive cultural venue
A day to open up the field of possibilities

Les Franciscaines welcomed Vanessa today for a day of unpaid work experience open to all people with disabilities. This initiative is part of the national operation led by ALGEEI, in collaboration with the French Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity and the Family.

DuoDay is being rolled out across France and overseas during the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities. At Les Franciscaines, this approach echoes a long-term commitment to creating a venue that is ever more accessible and attentive to the diversity of its audiences.

Programming is designed to meet the needs of each individual, reception is constantly adjusted, and multi-sensory devices offer everyone the chance to explore the site according to their own points of reference. Dedicated mediations - adapted tours, specific workshops, pictograms, adapted teaching aids - are progressively enriched by feedback and collaborations with schools, associations, ESATs and medical-social institutions.

Since its opening in 2021, Les Franciscaines has made inclusion one of the cornerstones of its cultural project, with a constant desire to move forward. Vanessa's arrival is fully in line with this evolving dynamic: regular hosting of inclusive structures at the FabLab, co-creation of a FALC booklet with ESAT workers, and step-by-step construction of new initiatives to reinforce ever more inclusive mediation.
