Rima Abdul-Malak, former Minister of Culture, awarded the Prix du Jury de la Jeune Création Photographique to Naïma Lecomte. Her work captivated the jury with its attentive look at the land, the rhythm of walking and observation.

Composed of eminent figures from the world of photography, the jury carefully studied the 350 entries received this year before selecting four photographers for their talent and singular vision: Anaïs Ondet, Simon Bouillère, Naïma Lecomte and Jérémy Appert.

Among them, Naïma Lecomte 's work stands out for the sensitivity of her gaze and her ability to reveal the discreet beauty of the Normandy landscape. Through her series, the artist invites us to contemplate the course of the Touques, a river that rises in the Orne, flows through Calvados and empties into the English Channel, separating Trouville from Deauville. A poetic, contemplative workthat questions our relationship with the land, with nature and with the passage of time.

The Prix du Jury de la Jeune Création Photographique offers the winner a residency at the Villa Pérochon, Centre d'art Contemporain Photographique in Niort. This prize embodies the festival's desire to encourage young artists and support emerging talents who explore, through photography, the richness and diversity of the region.
