A radiant vernissage under the sun of Provence
On Saturday July 5, Les Franciscaines inaugurated its new exhibition Sous les soleils de Provence, dedicated to André Hambourg. A luminous interlude, bathed in the warmth of the South, opened in the heart of the museum, in the presence of a large audience.
The vernissage was attended by Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville and President of the Franciscaines, who paid tribute to the deep bond between the artist and his beloved Provence. At his side, Mathieu Hambourg, the painter's grand-nephew, honored this moment of memory and emotion with his presence.
The exhibition is supported by the sensitive eye of Juliette Gerfault, curator of the exhibition and head of collections at the Musée des Franciscaines.
Annie Madet-Vache, director of the Musée des Franciscaines, and Caroline Clémensat, general manager of the Franciscaines, were also present alongside the Mayor for the inaugural event.
Between the warmth of the paintings and the light of the interior, this first meeting marks the start of a beautiful summer in the colors of the Mediterranean.
