23rd musical August
L'Août musical de Deauville, originally a joyful, studious antechamber to the Easter Festival, is now on a par with the spring festival in terms of the number and quality of its programs. From masterpiecesmasterpieces and works and rare works of vocal and instrumental music at Salle Élie de Brignac are now joined by new formats - mini-concerts - at Les Franciscaines.
As part of the exhibition Mondes flottants, du Japonisme à l'art contemporain, young musicians invited to the 23rd Août musical de Deauville explore the works of Claude Debussy, Joe Hisaishi, John Cage, Olivier Messiaen and Tõru Takemitsu.
