The new Wi-Filles class visits the FabLab for a day of discovery

Creative workshops and visit to the Valérie Belin exhibition
The Wi-Filles 2026 class discovers the Valérie Belin exhibition, Les choses entre elles

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the FabLab des Franciscaines welcomed the new Wi-Filles 2026 class, as part of the professional discovery program run by the FACE Normandie association. This national scheme, launched in 2018, aims to raise awareness among young girls aged 14 to 17 of careers in digital, industrial and technical sectors, too often perceived as reserved for boys.

The aim of the day was to enable the participating girls to discover new professional worlds andbroaden their future prospects, while boosting their confidence in their abilities.

The girls visited the Valérie Belin exhibition , Things Between Them, accompanied by a mediator, and took part in creative T-shirt flocking workshops, where they personalized their own T-shirts using FabLab machines.

This day of discovery and sharing was part of the Franciscaines' and its partners' commitment to promoting gender diversity in technical and digital fields, by giving young girls the opportunity to familiarize themselves with these still too often little-known worlds.
