Les Franciscaines celebrates reopening with Valérie Belin
On Saturday January 24, Les Franciscaines celebrated its reopening with the opening of the exhibition Valérie Belin, les choses entre elles. It was a momentous occasion, marked by a remarkable turnout, bringing together all generations around a major work of contemporary photography.
The inauguration was attended by Philippe Augier, Mayor and President of the Franciscaines, Valérie Belin, artist and exhibition curator,Annie Madet-Vache, Museum Director and exhibition co-curator, and Caroline Clémensat, General Manager of the Franciscaines.
Visitors were able to discover a striking retrospective of Valérie Belin's work, while admiring five previously unseen works from her latest Cover Girls series, presented to the public for the first time. A fascinating plunge into a powerful aesthetic universe, where images question the gaze, appearance and representation.
The exhibition runs until June 28 at Les Franciscaines.
